This Privacy Policy explains how Born To Ride Inc. collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Born To Ride mobile application and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, do not use the Service.



1) Information We Collect

A. Information you provide
• Support communications: If you contact us (email, forms), we receive the information you include (such as your name, email address, and message contents).

B. Information collected automatically

Depending on your device settings and how you use the Service, we may collect:
• Device and app data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and basic diagnostic data (crash logs, performance).
• Usage data: screens viewed, feature usage, approximate timestamps, and interactions needed to operate and improve the Service.
• Network data: IP address and general network information needed for security, fraud prevention, and delivery of content.

C. Location information (optional)

The Service may request permission to access location features.
• When-in-use location: If you allow it, we may use your location while the app is open to show nearby areas and improve map-based features.
• You can disable location at any time in your device settings. The app remains usable with reduced nearby/route functionality.

We do not require location to use basic features.

D. Push notifications (optional)

If you enable notifications, we may store a device push token to deliver notifications you request.



2) How We Use Information

We use information to:
• Provide and operate the Service (maps, conditions, content delivery).
• Personalize your experience (favorites, nearest areas).
• Maintain security, prevent abuse, and enforce policies.
• Debug, improve performance, and develop features.
• Respond to support requests and communicate about Service-related issues.

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information in these limited cases:

A. Service providers

We may share information with vendors that help operate the Service (hosting, analytics, crash reporting, messaging/push delivery). They are permitted to use information only to provide services for us.

• Comply with legal obligations
• Protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or Born To Ride Inc.
• Detect and prevent fraud or security issues

We retain information only as long as necessary to:
• Provide the Service

Crash/diagnostic logs and usage data may be retained for a limited period for troubleshooting and quality improvement.

• Location: You can allow or deny location permission, and change it anytime in device settings.
• Notifications: You can disable notifications in device settings.
• Support requests: You can request that we delete certain support communications, subject to legal retention requirements.



6) Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.



7) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.



8) International Transfers

If you access the Service from outside Canada, your information may be processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.



9) Third-Party Links and Content

The Service may display or link to third-party websites or services (for example, weather, mapping, road condition, or resort resources). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party practices.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective date” above. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
